It’s one thing to be gaslit by someone else. It is a whole other level to gaslight yourself. This is where you actually engineering self sabotage and undermining your best efforts at change with iron clad…. excuses. There is a part of our intelligence that register ls staying the same as comfortable. Comfortable habits as the body is withering away from neglect. Did it ever occur to you that your valid excuses are you gaslighting yourself? Then our ego has the audacity to reward the excuse with a big cookie šŸŖ or icecream sandwich. The human psyche is wild. I have been there. (Who do I study the behavior in of? Junkies. Why? Pattern recognition of self soothing). How do you get out of this loop? How do you get back to restoring integrity with keeping your healthy habits when your nervous system is wired to stay comfortably conditioned to stay the same? Ahhh! Grab your journals aka tool for self reflection because this where the real work begins.
